Pared co-founder and resident decorative artist Julie Lawrence has been trusted by designers, architects, and homeowners for over 30 years to create custom projects. From painted floors to wall murals, Julie’s hand is in the details. Her decorative stylings are featured in spaces across the country by leading designers.
When you design a Pared sconce, Julie hand-paints, gilds, and waxes each one before it leaves the studio and becomes a thoughtful part of your project.

Friends since meeting at summer camp at age 11, Amy and Julie have always been connected by their similar interests and shared passion for travel and design. Pared was born out of an appreciation for antique lighting and a desire to create a fresher, cleaner interpretation of classical European tôle designs. Like a lifelong friendship, lighting should age beautifully.
